BLM / bat conservancy forces bat bars onto claim holders of apache chief mine

15:21
owners of the apache chief mine are not happy with the size of the openings to their mine,.. 20 inches by 20 inches,.. we were under the impression that we would have DOORS,.. not a removable BAR providing for a small opening in which we can shuffle thru small bags of ore,.. nothing to let us pass thru with a dolly or anything of any size to transport any sizeable quantities of ore. claim holders are not happy with the outcome of being forced thru a small opening for entrance

BLM Minerals Program in Oregon and Washington

02:28
The Oregon/Washington BLM is responsible for a wide variety of activities within the minerals program. They administer or adjudicate issues on Federal mining claims, validate title evidence, review mineral validity reports, and provide guidance for surface use management and use and occupancy under the mining laws. They retain records of mineral surveys and patents, service Federal minerals contest actions, process lease applications for minerals and mineral materials, review and adjudicate permits to prospect for solid minerals. They retain bonding documentation, conduct oil and gas, geothermal, and coal lease sales. In addition to these functions, they also prepare and service mineral resource decisions, notices and other legal documents. http://www.blm.gov/or/programs/minerals/

mine gate.com, BLM, bat conservancy endangers life of mine worker at apache chief mine

07:04
so there i am, trying to work the apache chief mine, as i was told we would be able to retrieve resources. i was told that the hole they covered up would remain open to provide ease of work until we were to get keys to the gates (bars that provide a 12 inch opening) to get out ore material (unfeasible and restrictive) the us government in its infinite wisdom decided it would be okay to give us this claim to the mine and allow us to work it, yet somehow they knew all this stuff was going to happen and did nothing to let us know before we claimed the mine,.. they took the money then forced us to get "bars" on the mine for "safety" well then bats were discovered in the mine,.. LONG Before we got custody of the mine,.. then before ya know it,. we are gated off from having access to our tools

Looking at a Hard Rock Gold Mine to Purchase

10:29
Since gold dredging is becoming illegal every where, I am looking for some hard rock gold mines to purchase to work instead. I'm looking at this gold mine in Southern Oregon south of Jacksonville. Gold is very very fine and the ore has to be hauled out to process, which is even more of an expense. I'm just checking all my options to be able stay in the gold mining business and get some gold every year. I will be looking at a few gold mines, both private and an on BLM/Forest Service land.

Zortman Landusky Pegasus Heap Leach Cyanide Gold Mine

This is a clip taken from a documentary we produced at MCAT public access television in Missoula Montana in 1993. We captured the footage and interviews on location at the Ft. Belknap Indian Reservation. Since that time the Zortman Landusky Gold Mine operation closed when the Pegasus Gold Corporation filed for Bankrupsy leaving Montana with yet another massive Superfund Site and dangerous ground water pollution problem. The Pegasus Gold Corporation (a Candadian Company) obtained the land without royalty through the use of the 1872 mining law and left the US tax payers footing the bill for a massive cleanup which will never end. What is GOLD PLACER CLAIM? What does GOLD PLACER CLAIM mean? GOLD PLACER CLAIM meaning

04:29
What is GOLD PLACER CLAIM? What does GOLD PLACER CLAIM mean? GOLD PLACER CLAIM meaning - GOLD PLACER CLAIM definition - GOLD PLACER CLAIM explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In the United States, a placer claim grants to the discoverer of valuable minerals contained in loose material such as sand or gravel the right to mine on public land. Other countries such as Canada, Mexico, and Australia grant similar rights. In the United States, the valuable mineral in a placer claim is almost always gold, although other nations mine placer deposits of platinum, tin, and diamonds. Another type of mining claim is a lode claim. A mining claim allows some security of tenure for the owner, providing an incentive to invest time and money developing the deposit. Mining claim laws vary from state to state, but claims staked over federal minerals follow federal mining law. Federal minerals are managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Mining claims staked under either State or federal laws (state claims may only be staked on state-owned and managed lands; federal claims may only be staked on minerals owned by the federal government) are limited to lands available for claim staking at the time the claims are staked. Thus, if the land is not available for mineral entry (example: withdrawn due to its status as a park or refuge), then the claim is said to be invalid ab initio. An additional requirement is "Discovery", which follows the "Prudent Man Rule." This means that a sufficient indication of valuable mineral(s) would encourage a "Prudent Man" to further invest time and money developing the deposit towards the goal of mining it. The holder of a mining claim does not own the surface, the water, or even the rocks and gravel. A mining claim grants the holder with the preferential right to extract the valuable minerals within the claim, and for uses incident to that goal, such as prospecting, exploration and development. Gold mining is one of the most common uses for the staking of mining claims. In Alaska, state mining claims may be up to 160 acres (0.65 km2), and there is no distinction between lode or placer claims. The boundaries of the claim must follow the 4 cardinal directions, with an exception being adjustments for existing valid claims. "Claim jumping", which happens to this day, is a case where one person overstakes the claims of another. This results in civil action, and sometimes violence. Claims staked on Federal-managed lands fall under Federal rules. Typically, the claim size is limited to 660'x 1320', or 20 acres (81,000 m2). The claim must be either placer or lode, and the discovery point must be clearly marked. The claim staking procedure includes setting a monument (a post of at least 3" in diameter and at least 3' visible above the ground, or a rock monument at least 3' in height) at the NE corner of the claim. This is known as the Number 1 corner, and it is here that the claimant places the location notice. Three additional monuments, one at each corner of the mining claim, must be set, numbered in a clockwise direction. Copies of the claim documents must be filed in the local offices of the land managers, and filing fees paid. This must be completed within 45 days of the staking. In addition, fees for annual rental, filing, and work (or payments in lieu of labor) to fulfill requirements of "annual labor" must be completed by the deadlines set by the regulations in order to hold the claim. Failure to meet any of these requirements will result in a declaration of abandonment, and the claim cannot be restaked by the original locator or a successor in interest for one year from the date of abandonment. During this time, the claim may be relocated by others.

4/15/2015 -- Gold Rush! Bundy Ranch v2.0 Reloaded -- Oregon Mining town BLM takeover

07:38
Check oldmarine1 for updates on this , he's staying on top of breaking news regarding this: https://www.youtube.com/user/theoldmarine1 ____ We all remember the BLM / Bundy Ranch standoff which occurred in 2014. Most people don't know, the Nevada land grab was NOT about "cattle". It was about Gold Butte,Nevada. Gold Butte is an old dormant butte volcano, and an old GOLD MINING TOWN which was shut down by the government between 1905 -1908. During World War 1 a large majority of the copper and silver used in the war came from around this location in Clark County Nevada. Ironically, 100 years ago is the time where Bundy claims his family began ranching the area. It is odd that the families that stayed behind AFTER the government shut down the post office (on purpose shut down to cut off supply to the town).... turned out to be ranchers --- and that was 100 years ago. Bundy, an old man now in 2015 must have been passed down a "family secret" about the Gold deposits, silver deposits, and other precious metals in the ground at Gold Butte, NV. The whole BLM land grab in 2014 was about Gold. Which is why Harry Reid wanted to strip mine the area and build a "solar farm" on Gold Butte after they level the mountainside and get the contents of the stripped surface and subsurface. ______ Gold Butte is located about 33 miles southeast of Glendale. Mica was first discovered here in 1873, and then gold in 1905. By the next year, a post office was built. A gold rush in 1908 brought in more people, and the townsite now had a hotel, livery stable, post office, mercantile, and several residences. Another camp named Copper City was started two miles west at the site of the short-lived Lincoln copper mine. By 1910 the gold rush was over and most mining operations ceased. No buildings remain, only a couple concrete slabs / foundations, two graves, and several old mine shafts. Mining is thought to have begun in the 1700’s when the Spanish left remnants of their efforts in the form of arrastras. An arrastra is a large flat rock hollowed out over which a donkey would drag another rock to crush the ore. There are four known arrastras in the Gold Butte townsite area. In the 1800’s mica was being mined and shipped from the area. Gold was discovered in 1906 and by 1907 Gold Butte was booming with a speculated population of 2,000. By 1909 the boom went bust and the post office was removed from the townsite of Gold Butte. Mining continued in the area as the Grand Gulch copper mine produced much of the needed copper for World War 1. The wagon trails that carried the copper to the St. Thomas railroad spur can still be followed to this day. The wagon masters’ signatures in wagon wheel axel grease tell the story on the sandstone walls of Mud Wash. ______ Now move forward to 2015, and we have Galice Oregon, and a repeat situation of the BLM coming in to a Gold mining town to seize land for their own use. Again we have locals who mine the land , who have a miners claim (by law) on land that is public use. Just like Nevada , Bundy, and Gold Butte, in Oregon we have Gold HILL nearby. A butte and a hill could be considered very much similar. Nearby volcanoes at each location tell the tale of the rich mineral deposits which must exist at both locations in NV, and OR. ______ http://www.friendsofgoldbutte.org/about/historical-resources/ https://www.google.com/search?q=gold+butte+nevada https://www.google.com/search?q=gold+butte+nevada+WWI+copper http://silverstateghosttowns.com/goldbutte.html http://kensphotogallery.blogspot.com/2015/01/daytrip-gold-butte-town-site-gold-butte.html

Geri P*****s, my wonderful land-lady who's cabin I am staying in in Atlanta, Idaho, has a hard rock gold mine about 30 miles across the mountains from Atlanta that has been in her family for a long time. Her dad actually worked it back when she was younger. This is a patented gold mine where the closest town is Featherville, Idaho. We were helping her, as well as much of her family, with the assessment work for 2016. The work needs to be documented and turned into the BLM by Sept.

Dale Gold Mining Claim - California - 2017

07:22
The Dale Mine is located near the site of Old Dale, California. Historically this area was mined for native gold. It was reported that a single jack miner could expect to produce around 0.7 ounces per ton in gold. Many of the mines in the area were small operations worked by small miners and prospectors who vigorously defended their workings from all comers.

ABANDONED GOLD MINES ~ near KINGMAN ARIZONA

04:19
1.23.2013. I decided to walk out to some mountains today and found several old abandoned gold mines from the past. I didn't see any official claim markers or indications that the area was other than BLM (Bureau of Land Management). An old post at one gold mine had written on it, 'Gold Lake Discovery 1/1/13', which I'm not certain whether someone wrote that just a few weeks ago on New Year's Day, or that it indicates an initial discovery in 1913. Modern Day Mining - Gold Rush Expeditions - 2017

In modern day America, the opportunity for mining is greater than it has ever been. There are so many historic mines still out there. Those mines provided more than a living for miners, they provided independence and freedom. Gold Rush Expeditions locates mines across the US. These mines were America's past success, and with a little work, they can be America's future success.

Free food, housing AND a job ... but you have to live in a ghost town! Federal government

Free food, housing AND a job ... but you have to live in a ghost town! Federal government searches for volunteers to work at abandoned gold mining outpost with a creepy past www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3044446/Free-food-housing-job-live-ghost-town-Federal-government-searches-volunteers-work-abandoned-gold-mining-outpost-creepy-past.html ~ Garnet has been abandoned for almost 100 years. The tiny Montana outpost was established in the 1860s by miners looking for gold and silver, but it was devastated by fire around 1912 and deserted a few years later. While the town has since been restored, it remains empty, and local folklore says the area is haunted by former residents, with visitors saying they heard music and laughter, even in winter, and the sound of doors slamming in cottages where there aren't any doors. Now the U.S. Bureau of Land Management is offering free food, housing a job to people willing to live in Garnet and work as a tour operator, as the government prepares the village to become a new tourist stop. There are four positions, with some workers operating as tour guides and others keeping the grounds. The job ad was first posted in local newspaper The Missoulian, expecting to only find interest from within Montana It stressed there was no electricity or plumbing. Regardless, the story was almost immediately shared 32,000 on Facebook. The following day, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's office in Missoula was inundated with calls and emails. 'The calls came in almost immediately,' BLM spokeswoman Maria Craig told The Missoulian. 'Garnet Ghost Town Ranger Nacoma Gainan told me the next morning he already had 130 emails and he didn't know how many phone calls. The phone was ringing all morning. 'We got people asking about it from South Africa, from China, the United Kingdom, Germany and all over the country.' 'There were more out-of-state people than Montanans calling.'
